Parents and Friends of K-Staters in SAfrica. Well, we are here! And we've won our first World Cup match. OK, not really, we're glad to find our hotel. The travel day was glitch-free. Planes on time, food in planes pretty good, and no one yelled at Ron or me. The students generally seemed happy. No problems at customs, not even with Jose, our Mexican representative. Our tour guide, Marianna and coach driver Charles met us at the airport and shuttled us to the hotel. Marianna seemed to be quite glad we weren't French. I guess she give a lot of tours to the French. (Did you know if you Google "French military victories", you get no hits? But I digress). Marianna found out Ron was from Texas and asked where his cowboy hat was. And ironically, this is as long as I've been around Ron where he was hat-less. He felt naked but didn't want to crush his hat on the long ride. He'll pick up some head gear down here....or not depending on cost.
Weather is great here, should be sunny and 80 F tomorrow. We'll be tasting wine. I will monitor the situation.
Thanks, I'll try to keep you updated, but we have to pay for internet access and we're cheap. But I"ll try my best.

My Dearest Nita, Hope you had a nice 36th anniversary today. Sorry I wasn't there. You might look in Marie's middle dresser drawer.

DrG - What do you mean the French haven't had any victories? What about the battle of Beachy Head of 1690AD, where they beat their Anglo-Dutch counterparts?
